IV. University of Illinois - Paul McKnight spoke on focus groups. A 30-page report on the Cairo School District was distributed and discussed. Read the summary. (PDF File)

V. Requiring Action/Decisions By Board of Education - Entered closed session at 7:12 P.M. and exited closed session at 8:55 P.M.

  1. Adopt a Resolution regarding rental of the Campus Cottage at Jr./Sr. High School Site - Motion Made, Seconded and Passed.
  2. Adopt the Financial Plan for the 2006-2007 School Year - Motion Made, Seconded and Passed.
  3. Adopt the Parent-Student Handbook for Cairo Jr./Sr. High School - Motion Made, Seconded and Passed with HS and Alternative School Noted Changes.
  4. Employment:
    a. Adopt Extra Duty assignments at Cairo Jr/Sr High School - Motion Made, Seconded and Passed per attached sheet.
    b. Employ Bobby Spencer as Jr/Sr High School Physical Education Teacher - Motion Made, Seconded and Passed.
