Introductions
We post our 'introductions' on a yearly basis in order to learn more about one another and make new members feel more at home. Typically, kindreds post their intros during their birth month, but no one will mind if you want to send yours at a different time. Several kindreds have intros posted at the Kindred Spirits Members Page.

Chats
Kindreds hold on-line chats on a regular basis. Chats are scheduled for Sunday evenings at 6 PM EST and Tuesday afternoons at 1 PM PST. We chat at WBS in the private room 'kindreds'.

Kindred Corner
The Kindred Corner is sent to the list on a weekly basis. It is a quick reference that lists the Book of the Month, List Guidelines and Announcements. The KC also contains weekly challenge questions for the Book of the Month. To have an announcement posted in the Kindred Corner, send it to Sara at Mtsbwms@aol.com.

Book of the Month
Each month one LMM book is chosen as the focus of our discussion. However, any LMM book is open for discussion at any time. Kindreds can vote for each month's book at Mrs. Rachel's Voting Page. Voting is done 1-1/2 months ahead of time to allow list members time to acquire and read books up for discussion.

Open voting: Tenth of the month until the last day of the month
Runoff voting: First of the month to the ninth day of the month 

Teas
Groups of kindreds in several areas have gathered together for 'Kindred Teas.' Sometimes these take the form of actual, semi-formal teas and other times they are casual lunches. They are *always* fun. We encourage all KS members to attend a kindred gathering, or to plan one in your area. Birthday List
Mary Evelyn maintains a list of kindred birthdays in order to send out birthday greetings. To have your special day added to the list e-mail M.E. at mary-evelyn@hwcn.org

UPEI Conferences
Our host, the L.M. Montgomery Institute at the University of Prince Edward Island, hosts biennial conferences devoted to LMM scholarship. In 1996 and 1998 several members of the Kindred Spirits list attended the conferences and a few of us even presented papers.
