One of the things that I, personally, have always hated about homepages is all of that boring stuff about the site creator. I really hadn't planned on putting any of that in mine, but it seems (from some of the comments that I've gotten) that some other people LIKE that "stuff"! So, in an attempt to please everybody, I'm including some "stuff" about me -- please feel free to leave this part of the site as quickly as possible if you don't care! :c)

My chat name is Imthem, and I can often be found chatting in Yahoo in the Society & Culture section at Pagan Lake (I started out in the Spirituality room and found myself floating between the two - unfortunately the Spirituality room doesn't often appear anymore, something which I hope is not a comment on our times). Those who know me there often call me "Immy". I've met a lot of interesting people in chat, learned a lot of new things, explored thoughts and beliefs that were foreign to me.

For those of you who are kind enough to sign my guestbook, these are MY answers to the same questions:

My favorite topic: You
My favorite color: today it's deep forest green (it changes all the time!)
My favorite food: Chocolate of course!
My favorite movie: I love movies and have a number of favorites including "It's A Wonderful Life", "Rocky Horror Picture Show", "The African Queen", "Casablanca", any Bette Davis flick, the Road Warrior series and bad horror flicks, especially "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" and "Plan 9 From Outer Space". (Did I hear someone say "Surf Nazis Must Die"?)
Places I've been: 32 states in the US, Canada (Ontario, Quebec), Mexico (Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Puebla, the Yucatan, Leon), England (London), Scotland (Edinburgh, Loch Ness, Inverness)
Places I want to go to: Everywhere!, but especially Greece, Italy, Africa, Egypt, Brasil (during Carnival!) and all of South America

I grew up in Michigan, having been born in the Detroit area, and raised in a small, rural community located on the shore of Lake Huron. I spent my senior year of high school in central Mexico, and have lived in several cities in Michigan since (Port Huron, Lansing area), San Antonio, Texas and the Chicago area.

In the past I have been very involved with community theatre and helped run a high school theatre program. I was also involved in a youth exchange program serving as counselor to approximately 15-20 international high school students each year. I was an exchange student myself, when in high school, and consider the experience one of the most intense and gratifying opportunities available to any student.

Now I live in Southern California, having moved here in the summer of '98. I am employed as a webmaster and do freelance web design as well. I have worked in the computer field for 18 years, having been a telecommunications analyst, systems analyst, programmer, systems/tech support, computer operator and communications analyst.

I am the proud slave of two very vocal cavies (that's guinea pig to you and me). I mention this because I am totally devoted to my "girls" and rather obsessive about all things cavy. If ya wanna talk about piggies, I'm more than willing!

If you want to know anything more about me, I ask you to look around you and within yourself. The human experience is universal. Although, the individual occurances of experience may differ, we are all very much the same. We cry, we laugh, we hunger, we tire. Like you, I search, and hope that our paths may cross someday so that we may learn from each other... and share.
