Within
a week the eggs will begin to hatch into tiny black silkworms about
the size of a comma. Be sure the small silkworms have fresh Mulberry
leaves every day, removing the dried out leaves. The silkworms will
grow quickly and lighten in color.
Silkworms will continue eating for 25-30 days, becoming 10,000 times bigger than when they hatched. When the silkworm is ready to spin a cocoon it will stop eating and move its head back and forth repeatedly.
