The bad news is that we all die, and that death is the result of doing things that are wrong and that we know in our hearts are wrong. These things are called sin. The worse news is that there is a final judgment against sin which leads to a second death that is conscious, eternal and final. The good news is that God has provided a way out of sin and death. Jesus died to forgive sins and was raised to give life. The means of benefiting from His work is faith, and the result of faith is obedience. Therefore our duty, for God's glory and our good, is to turn from our sins and believe this good news. Baptism is the sign given to mark those who are committed to Christ. The way to become persuaded to believe the good news is to read the Bible and ask for faith. (See in the Bible, Ephesians 2:1-10; 2 Timothy 3:14-17). if you would like to talk about these things, |
