Political Action & Social Justice Page

As an American, I and many of my friends take our freedoms for granted. We also tend not to question our United States government - a dangerous thing to do with any government, and a republic like ours particularly.

What can you do personally?

Keep informed about local, regional, national & international issues.

Act locally - plan globally. Grassroots campaigns are the most effective type - you have a better chance of changing things in your own backyard than halfway across the globe. Don't subscribe to the Mega-Corporate message. I've got a number of alternatives for Oceans Springs, Mississippi.

Vote with your dollars. Your spending habits can have a tremendous influence - use the capitalist system to it's ultimate, and vote in the marketplace. Spend with care to avoid the robber barons and support the local green farmer!

Pick your issues, and stick with them. If you try to solve every problem, your efforts will be spread so thin that they will lack any type of punch. Pick two or three issues which matter the most to you - and pursue them with a vengeance!
