Shrine of Vor

Incarnation of Goddess

Vor

Goddess of the Rainbow.

A large and intricate rope knot hangs above the table in this shrine. The cloths covering the table hold the stylized symbol of a knot with a drop of blood suspended below it. Behind the Book a blood-red ruby teardrop stands upright on a small hemp mat.

Written in the Book are these words:

Vor: Goddess of the Oath. Rewarder of the Maintainers of Oaths, Punisher of the Breaker of Oaths.

Vor witnesses the making of Oaths, Agreements and Contracts of all kinds. She is the Judge. Her Judgement is Final. Reward and Retribution is Hers alone. She deems the manner, time and place of all Rewards and Retributions. Wherever and whenever someone vows or breaks an Oath, She is there also. She also has the power to revoke an Oath.

Vor is a warrior Goddess. She carries an Axe and is depicted in Viking apparel and demeanor. She is represented by a large rope knot, a stylized knot often with a drop of blood falling from it, and sometimes by an axe cutting a rope knot. Her music is that of the drum and the horn. Her gems are all the red stones, especially the ruby. Vor is heard in the Crack of Thunder, and She is seen in the Knot.
