Incarnation of Goddess
Akondi
Goddess of Justice.
A Gold Shield hangs in the air above the table in this Shrine. The cloths covering the table are patterned with red, green and black triangles and circles. A ebon-wood bowl filled with water sits on the table behind the Book.
Written in the Book are these words:
Akondi: Goddess of Justice. Guardian Of Women. Great Oracle.
Akondi is the Judge. She is the Knower of the Future. She is the Guardian of All Women. Akondi grants the power of oracular predictions and the knowledge of justice in visions divined from an ebon-wood bowl of water. Nothing remains hidden from Her concerning women, justice and the future. When called upon to judge, Her verdict is Final. When called upon for protection, Her barriers are impenetrable. When called upon to foretell events, Her oracles are insightful. Akondi is more often sought as The Great Oracle or The Great Protector, because Her justice is sharp, accurate, and is meted out to all concerned parties as they deserve. Hers is Divine Justice.
Akondi is often depicted as tall, strong Woman -- neither young nor old. Her music is that of the axastse (rattle) and voice. Her metal is gold, Her wood is ebony. Akondi is heard in the Pronouncement of Truth. Akondi is seen where Justice has been done, women protected and the future foretold.
