Interior decorating to improve your social life

SOCIAL LIFE

Living Room
The most important room for a splendid social life is the living room, and the most important elements in the living room are the sofas and chairs. Pick them carefully, as they represents the degree of comfort and intimacy you offer friends. Entertainment centers express a desire to be viewed well by others and are not necessary, unless it's what you fancy.

Living Room Floor and Ceiling
The living room floor will represent the social stand you have towards your social group. The living room ceiling represents social networking and economic pacs you have with them.

Fireplace Mantel
The appearance of the fireplace mantel in the living room tells your degree of social happiness.

Kitchen
Second to the living room, the kitchen plays a role in your social life. The refrigerator is symbolic of how others think of you. Is your refrigerator full and generous? Are there many good fresh meals? Is the refrigerator clean?

Windows
In all windows, yet particularly in the livingroom, the view from the windows will symbolize how you view the social world. A grand panorama is preferred for the enjoyment of your guests, but that isn't the only criteria. The important thing is how you feel about the view, not necessarily the view itself. Example: One person saw only a brick house outside their living room window. Their thought about the brick house was that the occupants probably had admirable, inspired thoughts based upon the living room activity. In that example, the restricted view was a source of pride and reassurance. That is why it is a good practice to judge your house based on your own stream of consciousness feelings and thoughts, and not just the guidelines set down here. (Yet, don't short-change yourself.)
Small windows are mean and represent a distrust of the outside world. Large windows are preferable as they express your good feelings about the world. If you feel it is dangerous to have large windows, move to a smaller, friendlier town. If you are a confirmed city-dweller, move to a top floor of a secure high-rise and oversee your world from the large windows.

Dining Room
The dining room represents close family more than a social life. If the dining room is a common room for socializing with friends, than indeed you have mastered an art.

Side Yard
The landscaping of the side yard represents your level of comfort with neighbors.

Front and Side Porches
Having a front porch, particularly if it is open, represents social eagerness and readiness. A side porch represents a reserve about social activity, wanting to restrict the social life to a few friends or family.

Front Door
The outside door to your house is the first welcome to your visitors. It symbolizes if they are welcomed or not welcomed, and how you feel about visitors. It can also represents your personal physical appearance. Is the front entrance attractive and welcoming?
