My Daughter

July eighteenth's your birthday
I remember when you were born
I had to have you by surgery
It was the middle of the morn

You were so small and fragile
A pink and pretty girl
With eyes that are so lovely
I knew you were meant for this world

I watched you grow from day to day
With more love than you'll ever know
An exceptional young lady I see
As your mind continues to grow

A young lady you are, my child of fourteen
Growing in spirit and soul
Always reach for the dreams you want most
Know love follows where ever you go

From your Mom, I love you Stacy
