Addiction

You think your life is over
One more drink you have to take
To still the fears inside your head
To still the hands that quake

One more day passes by
You hate yourself again
Here you go just one more drink
You know you'll never win

Then one day it happens
Something terrible and grim
You wish your life was over
Everything seems so dim

But then you see the sunshine
The sky is oh so blue
Then you know addiction
Can even be beat by you
