Fishing as a Child

I remember going fishing
When I was just a child
Dad would take us to the lake
That stretched for miles and miles

I had a little cane pole
With a length of line
It had a bobber on the end
Dad said give it time

If your quiet and you watch
Your bobber will disappear
When you pull it out real fast
You may have dinners fare

Well I don't think I ever caught
A fish that you could eat
But when Dad took us to the lake
It was always such a treat
