To My Father

Your grandchildren are growing
Each and everyday
Life for them is changing
In each and every way

I know you're out there watching
Looking down from up above
Sending what you feel for them
A silent ray of love

Stacy's such a big girl
Almost as tall as I
With dreams and aspirations
She'll one day touch the sky

Eric's still a growing
He's such an ornery kid
But everytime he comes around
The laughter's never hid

My children don't remember you
They were very small
You would sit them on your lap
Love them one and all

Pictures show the memories
Stories tell your life
Of who you were and how you loved
Before you had to die

Through me my children know you
Always that will be
And I know they'd love you
So very much as me

Lori Nathan
To my father, died December 2, 1994
