I've gotten about 60% of the site up so far. I still need to put up the books section. I made a photo album of my trip to London; you can see it by going to the photos section.
I've put up a bit of the books sections. I divided my reviews into genres: general fiction, historical fiction, and fantasy. I've done about half of the general fiction genre so far. You can go see it! (I have to fix the nav bars, though.) More tomorrow!

Today I decided to completely overhaul my site. I've been thinking about it for a while, but today I decided, why don't I just do it. So since I didn't have school, I nudged Painter awake from its hibernation and set about making graphics.
It's taken all day, but I've finally put together a semblance of a site. I like the design. You can still see the old one at http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Agora/5036/old. I think that one was too busy, and it took too long to load. I was also having trouble with tables, and no matter how hard I tried, I could never make it look good in both Netscape and Internet Explorer. It could look good in one, or the other, but not both! This one should look good in both...I hope...
The good news that is that I've decided to make three new sections: the news&about, photos, and leader (about my life as an Athens community leader). The bad news is that I still have to put up many sections of the site. I'd say less than 10% of the site is up at this point. I'm working really hard to get it back up soon, at least the book section (the main part of my site).
