I wrote these reviews on my own--no one else had any say in how I rated these books. The views reflected are only mine--neither Geocities, Yahoo!, BarnesandNoble.com, nor Amazon.com has anything to do with them.
Each star rating (from no stars to four stars) is based on my overall assessment of the book's merit. I have included an approximate age range--with no "high end" because I believe that even "children's books" can be enjoyed by adults. Parents, if you're nervous about having your child read one of these books, please check it out beforehand or write to me. I've read each book several times and would be glad to tell you more about them. (I have a new "content warning" system--inspired by the VideoHound guys--that tells you about the objectionable content of the books I review.)
I hope you will keep an open mind about all of these books. Just because I didn't love it doesn't mean you won't!
