gas prices

Mmm, it's been a couple months since I last updated. The only thing new to this webpage is that I added pictures from my stay in Japan with Mami. It was a really wonderful trip, thank you sooo much for everything Mami!!!

I have close to 700 pictures from my 2 and a half weeks stay there, however, I have only chosen 33 of them, due to my laziness, and for reasons of most of them being for my memories. I hope you all can get a good feel of what my stay in Japan was like from those pictures, afterall, 33 pictures means that 33,000 words can be used to describe my stay in Japan.

Over the next few days, I will work on adding some of the thanksgiving events I had with my family here in Irvine. Hope you all enjoy the new batch of photos!

*UPDATE*

Well, I just added the thanksgiving photos, only some of them of course. Haha, earlier than I had expected, but I decided to come back to ELH to use the wireless and so I just added it. (In case you haven't heard yet, the apartment Internet is b0rked, so it won't be fixed till January 3rd).

Hahaha, ouch. As some of you already saw, the new page layout was completely messed up when viewing with Internet Explorer 6 (not a very css compliant browser might I add). So yeah, this marks the new release of the code that also works with Internet Explorer 6, even though some stuff have weird heights...nothing I can do about that. All I can say is don't view my page with internet explorer, use mozilla/netscape 6+.

I had to fix all the code non-compliant with Internet Explorer these past 2 days, and also optimized some code, and fixed quite a few bugs with the code too! Guess that's what I get for releasing new code to the public without doing a very thorough job of Quality Assurance. Gotta thank my sister for letting me use her computer to constantly test my layout with IE 6!

Now that the non-compliant code has been purged, I shall move on to pondering what I shall change next. Oh yeah, and to those IE6 users, enjoy the layout! As for you mozilla/netscape 6+ users, you will notice that nothing has been changed in this release. hahaha! Sorry!

money for all beliefs

Say hello to the new code! This site layout has been completely ported to CSS (cascading stylesheets)! Hopefully the functionality and look still look the same to you, because I wasn't meaning to change any of that.

The code on these html pages no longer use html, but from what I believe, is now xhtml. Not much difference from what I see, but I have to use it to link to the css layout anyways.

Lets see, I know I said the functionality didn't change on this page, but I did change some minor features, for example. The links in the navigation bar on the left is clickable even though your mouse is not over the exact text, but even if you're in the same row of that text, you will be able to click it! (For all you uncoordinated people!)

If you're wondering, I just learned CSS a few days ago, and so it took WAAAAYY too long to port the layout to CSS, for I was still not sure what I was doing when I was coding, so yeah, ran into a bunch of bugs! However, the known bugs to the layout have been squashed, and is now released to all you viewers! HURRAY! hahaha.

Also, if you're wondering why I even put that much time porting this site to CSS, it's because I read somewhere that html is becoming obsolete, and also the fact that tables were never meant for layout reasons, and are slow to load in some cases. With this CSS layout, no tables are in the layout! I have escaped the dark side of tables! Oh, and I almost forgot! The nicest part of having a CSS layout is I only have to change one file, re-upload it, and the design of ALL my pages will reflect that change! No more going through TONS of pages changing all the HTML code for the layout so that all pages will look uniform!

I will definitely be going through the CSS code again trying to optimize code, for I am quite certain that the earlier code is quite bloated (only had a few hours of CSS under my belt when I coded the earlier parts).

thirsty squirrel

In this release, I've decided to add a new section. If you look in the "Related Links" navigator, you will see that links are now posted, so you can surf onto some of the sites my friends have created!

Aside from that, I've added some css onto the page, enabling the background of the table cells in the navigator to be highlighted upon a mouse over event.

I've also added a table to hold the random pictures, so it is less confusing to navigate for some. ^_^

And probably the most minor change of all, the link and link hover colors have been changed to better suit the colors I have used in various new tables. And also, for those who haven't noticed, this main page has had a formatting change too! The spacing between different update news has been added in to separate one news from another. hahaha

As for something totally unrelated to the changes on this site, isn't that squirrel SOO unbelievably cute?! Ohhh, can't resist! I must hug it! COME HERE LITTLE SQUIRREL!

bad day

okie dokie! I believe it was about time to release this new weblayout for public viewers, so here it is! Let all the flames and comments begin! The only new thing in this release is the posting of emotipics and random pictures. The rest is still the same, a few minor bug fixes here and there, but again, not noticeable to the viewers.

Sorry if you expected more from the layout, but I'm just not much of a graphics designer, so it's pretty plain with no graphics. haha, save myself the bandwidth problems from geocities anyways this way (not that I have many viewers to cause my site to go down due to bandwidth problems).

Production of the page will surely slow down from here on, no more updates every day...unless I get a spark within the next few hours of how to make the design more spiffy...

ENJOY!

Yay! My sister helped me with the color schemes on the layout! Her expertise with colors helped turn that kiddy look into a more clean and professional one! Thank you!

This is a minor update release, not much difference except for color changes. A few more tables here and there, but that's pretty much invisible to you. hahaha. Lets see, I will get my pictures maybe by the end of tonight, around midnight. After I shower, and all clean looking. hahaha!

I've added a splash screen to the site, but you can't see it yet, for it's not linked up. Logo looks a bit funny, but hey, I suck at graphics (code is a lot easier than graphics in my view). Hope you enjoy the new color theme! This one goes out to my sister. =)

caterpillar and fry

As you have probably noticed, the old look has gone, and the new one has moved in. Yah, sadly it got replaced. It looked pretty good, quite sophisticated, but not really modern looking. These days sharp corners are not in style anymore, it's like it'll poke someone's eye out or something...so yeah, went with the rounded corners this time.

I know it looks really plain, but this is the first version of the new layout. The previous one went through a few revisions before it got to where it was, so hopefully this one can take the same path.

As usual, I will be putting updates to the website here on the front page, along with some random picture that has nothing to do with the update. Welcome, my viewers, to the pre-modern layout. If all goes well, this layout will have more of a modern look to it soon.
