Believe!

You have probably realized by now that I am a science fiction fan; you just have to check the page about Landru to figure out that.  Although I have relatively few shows that I am really interested in, my life seems to revolve around taping episodes of Star Trek (Voyager and DS9), Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1 and the X-Files.  Of course, I have been an avid Dr. Who fan just about all my life, and the demise of that show was a hard blow to take.

I tend to shy away from most sci-fi movies - I find them pretty dull and predictable.  The classics I love, though.  I have seen the Star Wars and Star Trek movies so often, I think I have all the dialogue encoded permanently.  And I may be one of the few that thought Dune was a great movie. :þ~

Sci-fi books are my staple.  I grew up on a strict diet of Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert and Robert Heinlein, and I continue to read and reread those books today.  I have read just about every Star Wars book produced, even though the quality is often less than literary.  I am now trying to broaden my tastes a bit, and have even taken to reading William Gibson - in small doses!  I am developing an interest in the direction of fantasy, but it still has to have sci-fi, and not just magical, elements for me to honestly enjoy it. That said, it certainly does look like I shall have to read up on the Belgariad. :p~
There are a few links here only.  There is so much out there that I was not about to make any kind of attempt at an exhaustive list. These are ones I like and have book marked for frequent returns.
