This is an attempt to provide recipes for a complete easy and quick meal... as long as you don't count cooking time in the quickness. No dessert here, check out recipes from ecco or Dany^ for a dessert. Serve this with rice and a green salad. I am sure you know how to do these quickly. And, oh yeah.. Open any decent dry red wine, use it for the recipe and then finish it with the meal! :þ~ |

The wine should be a great Bordeaux - but, trust me, any decent dry red wine will do. | Substitute beer for the wine. However, just add 1 tsp of brown sugar with beer. |
Add garlic cloves to oil in a frying pan. Stir. Add beef cubes and
brown for a few minutes. Remove from heat.
Pre-heat oven to 300°F (150°C). Place beef, and all other ingredients, except mushrooms, in a covered oven casserole. Cook for 1½ to 2 hours. Add mushrooms, reduce heat slightly, and return casserole to oven for another 20 to 30 minutes. |

If you think up a fancy word for this 'scramble', let me know! :) |
Stir garlic and onion in olive oil in a saucepan. Dump in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes. Serve as a topping for baked or mashed sweet potatoes, or by itself as a vegetable. It is also good in a bowl for lunch, with some French bread and lots of butter. :) |
