GRADUATION
Class of 1999 graduation ceremony will take place in the gym on Thursday, June 10, at 6p.m. This years graduation may or may not be shown on Daly City's public access channel 8 the day after.

Jefferson High School's web page is actually running with working links now. The Jefferson Union High School District site has changed addresses and so has the Jefferson page. It can now be located at www.juhsd.k12.ca.us/jhs/index.html. Information about the school is available there, so check it out! In the coming weeks, there will be pictures added.

JEFF'S FIRST WEB PAGE/POWERPOINT CONTEST RESULTS
The turnout for the first Jefferson High web page/Powerpoint contest was small. So, in the usual goodwill of competition spirit, everyone came out a winner. Those who attended recieved software, mousepads, and other computer related prizes.

PERFORMING ARTS SEASON CURTAIN CALL
Jefferson High School's Performing Arts participants will give a season ending performance on Thursday, May 27th at 7:30p.m. Tickets will be $5 at the Little Theater box office. Performers will include the Jefferson Chorus, dance group, newly formed Colorguard, and drama and band participants. Come out and support the Performing Arts Department.
2ND ANNUAL CUSTOM CAR SHOW REPOST
Jefferson High School's 2nd Annual Custom Car Show will be held on Sunday, May 16th in the school baseball/softball field. Admission is free and there will be lots of food and more.

Jefferson graduate, Ken Smith, is the coach of the University of North Colorado NCC basketball team. View his online biography. However, as of the end of the 1998-99 basketball season, the University of Northern Colorado, Official Athletic Site of the UNC Bears reports, Smith's Contract Not Renewed for 1999-2000 Season (March 4, 1999).

THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND IN PRODUCTION
Jefferson’s Performing and Visual Arts Department presents The Real Inspector Hound, a play by Tom Stoppard, acclaimed award winning author of Shakespear in Love. COMEDY NIGHT AND STAND-UP COMPETITION
Jefferson High School's Drama Club will host the first annual Comedy Night and Stand-up Competition on Friday, March 12th at 7:30p.m. in the Little Theatre. PHASE TWO OF CONSTRUCTION/RENNOVATION UPDATE
The construction that plagued the past year at Jefferson, is not completely over. Projections for the year 2000 are the gymnasium, which is due for a make-over and some additional alteration to other buildings are also planned.

GUYS AND DOLLS PERFORMANCE DATES
Performance dates have been announced to be on January 28th, 29th, 30th, and February 5th and 6th. All performances start at 7:30p.m. in the Jefferson Theatre. Tickets are $5 (general admission) and $4 for senior citizens and students with ID cards. Come out and support Jeff's talented students and its Visual and Performing Arts Department.
TECHNOLOGY UPDATE
The computer lab in the new library has been completed, with 25 internet/research ready computers. However, the lab will not be in use till the end of the month.

CONSTRUCTION, WHAT CONSTRUCTION?
The recent Christmas break has worked wonders for not only the students, but also the various technical workers hired by the district to bring Jeff into the 21st century. Most construction around campus have been completed. The elevator appears to be functional and the school is looking more open and less congested.
HEY, YOU'RE IN THE NEWSPAPER, AGAIN!
Jeff's star football player, Nick Chenault has been named All-State. He was also featured in the San Francisco Independant Newspaper and in the San Francisco Examiner last month.
