A VERY SPECIAL PLACE

I'm not much of a student of history, although some parts of it have caught my interest. Two periods that come to mind are the Viet Nam War and the Holocaust. Growing up during the Viet Nam War era (yes, I'm a "baby boomer"), I didn't realize what place in history my generation would take. I'm proud to say that, bombastic as we were, we grew up to be pretty darned neat *smile*.

Back in 1972 I purchased two POW/MIA bracelets. I still have them. When I learned about Operation Just Cause, I did a bit of research and discovered that neither of the names I "possessed" had been "adopted." I immediately contacted the organization letting them know that I wanted very much to join their web ring and explained that since I already had the two bracelets, that I would like to make my POW/MIA tribute to one of them. OJC graciously allowed me to do so.

I would be most honored if you could take a little extra time to visit my tribute pages, which turned out to be a sobering experience. Please - you can find the beginning at John Hosken. I promise you won't be bored.

I would also be honored if you could take a bit more time to visit a very special site. It will (should) be heart-wrenching, but I feel it's an absolute must. It is a site dedicated to the Children of the Holocaust. Granted we can no longer help these particular little ones, but we can learn so much from their histories... perhaps even gain a few insights into how to keep it from happening again!

Thanks!
