I have been down in Newcastle-on-Tyne since last Thursday (27 May), house-cat-and-hamster-sitting for some old University
friends of mine. It should also have been guinea-pig-sitting, but they went to stay with some neighbours. I was born and brought up only twenty miles away from here, but once I went away to University in London (a very long time ago!), I did not come back. But this is still my home, and any chance to come back is very welcome. I also miss my cat, who died two years ago, so having a cat to look after is also a great joy, especially as Derry purrs a lot.
