If at first you don't succeed, try another theater.

Jen's gathering the biggest mob possible to go see ID4 tomorrow. At the present, of course, "mob" includes her, Ryan, Brant, his friend and me. I give up. Hype or no hype, even people I respect are urging me to go. Besides, the longer I wait, the more likely I'm going to have people at work gushing about "when the big ship does this" or "when they fly and the thing explodes" and experiencing the ID4 via the limited bandwidth of gossip.net.

The lines are still long, of course. Heck, some theaters on the Mainland are going 24 hours. Jen's going to try and be a morning person and pick up our tickets as soon as the box office opens (she lives closer to the Waikiki Twins than I do). We'll see.

The 'works at Kailua Beach were nice, as usual, and it rained. It's been raining a lot, actually, which always makes me happy. At the very least, it's not unbearably humid, and at best it just feels like the streets are getting cleaner.

Well well. CNN says the Spam Jam Festival was today, at Hormel Headquarters (in Minnesota, I think?).

Now, I'm already an outcast of sorts for my predilection towards that meat product (no one went with me to our local cookoff last year), but even I don't think I can bear to imagine what chocolate "Spam brownies" taste like. I think Spam and Macaroni and Cheese is about the most creative I want to get with the stuff.

I must be hungry.

Yep, I am. I think I'll risk losing my parking space to make a run for the border (which, in this neighborhood, is marked by Kapahulu Avenue).
