CHECKING FOR ACCURACY
Checking for accuracy is a process that we all know we should spend time doing, however, many times we don’t bother with it. Think about that test. How many people in the class do you see going back and checking every question before handing in their test? Not many. How many times did you not read the directions accurately on a test or project? Check not only your finished product for accuracy, but also check for accuracy as you work through a problem and you will find the problem easier to solve. Remember, your work is a reflection of you. Try the quick example below.
First read the sentence below.
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT
OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
EXPERIENCE OF MANY YEARS.
Now count the F’s in the sentence. Count them only once and do not go back and count them again.
Now go back and count them again more carefully. If you arrived at two different answers then you weren’t accurate initially.
