It's always exciting to see visitors drop by the Tower. And somehow, there has been a lot of traffic coming from the international front! I felt a little worried, too, that I may not get my changes done before everyone else has given up on this page! So, I've "hurried" as much as I could. Don't you all feel special now? (grin) I wanted a huge make-over, but as the days passed one by one, I've learned to cut down on what I wanted to complete, bit by bit. Can't be overly ambitious...

It had been my original goal in 1996 to create a homepage that was enjoyable with all browsers, but since then, a lot of new features have cropped up although it has not completely replaced their predecessors. For the past few months, I've been re-awakening my HTML skills (my oh-so-clumsy fingers-- hey, I hand-HTML everything!) and have been trying very hard to make the Tower backwards-, upwards-, sideways- and all-ways-compatible. Why do I make things so hard for myself? Rhetorical, rhetorical!

So! I've decided to put up a little poll. I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know what you thought of the new look thus far, or if there have been problems for you and your browser.

It's ironic that as I'm trying to find out if my page can be viewed by the majority of browsers, I find out the method for doing so (ie. the poll) may not be seen by the majority of browsers! Oh, I give up! Pfft. Next topic. But, seriously, I hope you do enjoy your stay; and sign the guestbook! If there are missing links, please, please let me know. Thanks!

Chinese New Year (CNY) is coming up for those who don't know. In preparation for the CNY, one has to be ready to welcome the new year with everything "new". Typically, that involves a set of new clothes and a very clean house (it's taboo to clean on New Year's itself!). So, I was musing to myself how appropriate that I've pretty much prepared the Tower for a CNY celebration... now if only I could do the same with my own room!

I have pretty much focused my attention lately on the upcoming New Year, although I'm not totally oblivious to Valentine's. I will say this: may it be pleasant to you all. I wish no ill will on everyone else (don't worry, no plots to crash dates, or give awful advice to totally clueless boyfriends on what they should give their girlfriends), but for me, I couldn't care less. It's a refreshing attitude to have, although I do admit it could be complete denial. I don't think it is, but you're welcomed to decide for yourself, or not at all! Whatever. Given the choice, which would you rather focus your attention on ... Valentine's Day which usually involves a lot of money spending or Chinese New Year which could involve receiving a lot of money. And the crowd goes "Ahhhh." In any case, Valentine's Day will probably find me enjoying a good movie (be it romantic or not, I don't mind) ... and in the middle of said-move, I'll realize I hadn't clean my room yet!
