Part 2

The bugbirdmen drag Cranston through the kingdom on the way to the Dragon's castle, where they meet the Snoot Shooters:
pod A bunch of little green, long snooted guys that live in a pod tree and wait for people to walk by, so that they can bounce down and "snoot shoot snoot" in your eye. They sing a little silly song and then the bugbirdman general arrives demanding to know who let the Dragon's prisoner be "snoot shootered and shot at."

kingJust then a King dressed in a red robe and wearing a golden crown arrives in a small heart-shaped light. He calls out to Cranston and tells him that the only way out of being the Dragon's BBQ is if Cranston gives his heart to the King. Cranston refuses, thinking it's a trap, and the little King tells Cranston that if he ever changes his mind, to "call out to me, I won't be hard to find." With that the King vanishes, and the bugbirdman general tells the bugbirdmen to quickly fly Cranston to the Dragon's castle, because that "King of Hearts" is up to no good.

When Cranston is set down, he is welcomed by a wolf in sheep's clothing, and a snake wearing many crowns. They speak to Cranston for a while, and the wolf tries to comfort Cranston. "The Dragon will probably burn you up so quickly you won't even feel it. If I were you, I wouldn't really fear."

KingWhile awaiting his death, Cranston weeps, and regrets letting his heart turn to stone. All is hopeless. "Wait a minute, that little King. He's worth a try!" Cranston calls out to the King and the King hears. Cranston recieves a new heart, and learns the secret to keeping his heart soft: Loving your Creator with all your life, and loving your fellow person with the same
love you would give yourself!

Cranston's mom then wakes him up and Cranston realizes it was all a dream. But Cranston's mother tells him about the real "King of Hearts", and Cranston accepts Jesus into his heart!

This story has always appealed to me, ever since I was a young lad. After I read it again (Unfortunately I have lost the tape after 13+ years) I am amazed at the depth it has. The authors really thought about the story before they wrote it. Not to say that the story dosen't have it's flaws, and weak points, but the good points far outweigh the bad ones, IMHO. I have been unable to find any info. about this story anywhere, so I thought I would put up a page about it, and share the weird neatness with you all!
