Franklin

Name: Franklin Richards (once called Storyteller)
Real Name: Franklin Richards
Age: I'm guessing--11?
Place of Origin: Manhatten Island, New York
First Appearance: Fantastic Four Annual #6
Powers: The ability to warp reality. Pretty tough, eh?
Background: Franklin Richards was almost never born, due to the fact that he and his mother, Sue Richards, were dying at the time from radiation, the same force which gave them their powers originally. So what did genius man, a.k.a. Reed Richards, do? He found that the only cure was the cosmic cylinder of Anhilus, the ruler of the Negative Zone. So he and the other Fantastic's went and got the cylinder and saved the kid.

Since then, he almost caused the break up of the happy couple that are his parents. Actually, his father caused this. Fearful of the boy's power becoming at it's full potential at such an early age, he shot a device at his son which supposedly got rid of his power. So Sue left him for a while, but came back eventually (surprise, surprise). Then Franky used his power some time after to save his folks, which was a bit surprising. So what did the good daddy do this time? He put a psychic lock on him which prevented the access of his power. This doesn't seem to work either, does it? I don't know if they ever cleared this up, but I'm guessing that psychic hold was removed by Onslaught. Makes sense, eh?

He has occasionally been a team member of the Fantastic Four, defeating long-time foes like Mephisto (??? - uh, that says a lot. I'm not being sarcastic here. Although I didn't see the issue of this, I'm guessing he did this by himself and that's pretty impressive since Mephisto is basically Satan) and Dr. Doom (also impressive). Also partially a member of Power Pack, where he was given the name "Storyteller."

In a possible future (uh oh, those words aren't very good), when Franklin grows up to be an adult, his power is inhabited by the Sentinals and he is kept in a camp. How this works, no clue. I don't read the book, I just get the info. He was also Rachel Summers' lover and was later disintegrated by a Sentinal as they were trying to escape. But his power allowed him to travel back in time where he confronted a very confused Phoenix (Rachel). However, he realized that only one of the two Franklin Richards could exist at the same time, so he kinda made himself disappear in order to let the young Franky live. Now we have to deal with him. Hehehe, just kiddin.

He was later captured by Onslaught, during that whole sha-bang, because he had an extremely powerful ability that would strengthen the near-invulnerable Onslaught even more. So, somehow Earth's Mightiest Heroes found out that by jumping into this psionic barrier he had set up they would weaken him. So what did Frankie's parents, the Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic, do? They hopped on in that psionic poo and off they went to the Heroes Reborn Universe. This left little Frankie alone, without a mother and father anymore. So Xavier took him in and now he is staying with the GenX kids, mostly hanging out with Leech and Artie.

Also, in a recent X-Men Unlimited issue, he freaked out at "Joseph" (Magneto's current alias, due to his amnesia. Long story.) because he blamed him for his parents' "death." He would've ripped Joseph to shreds too, if he wasn't stopped by Gambit, Beast, and Joseph himself. This just goes to show you how much potential this kid has.

Recently, he went on a trip with Artie, Leech, and few other friends in the limited series entitled Daydreamers. See my review for more info.
