I am going to run Star Wars LARP "Escape Pod" at Mon Con on March 19. The LARP will be run in a four hour time slot on Friday night. If you're going to Mon Con, stop by during the LARP or during my Charlie Company game on Saturday.

Escape Pod Background

Silvretta

The Silvretta is large luxury cruiser. It normally cruises through very secure sectors of Imperial space, and this cruise is no exception. Silvretta is filled to capacity this cruise. After the destruction of the DEATH STAR, many Imperial administrators and agents are being reassigned. Many of the more well-to-do and important of them are travelling on board at this time. Fearing that the destruction of the DEATH STAR will encourage other acts of open rebellion, the Empire has taken extra security measures to provide for the safety of the Silvretta, her passengers, and her crew. To prevent sabotage, the Empire has announced that the Silvretta is carrying several captured officers and agents of the rebellion.

Gran Selvas

Gran Selvas is a pleasure yacht owned by Duke Messina Sidonia. It was located in a hangar bay on board Silvretta, but now serves as a make shift escape pod for far too many people for the small vessel's life support systems. The Gran Selvas is built for pleasure and luxury, but it is not currently fully fueled or supplied. However, Gran Selvas does have it's normal compliment of non-expendables: scanners, comlinks, and perhaps personal weapons.

Current Situation

It is a period of civil war in the galaxy. Rebel spaceships have just destroyed the Empire’s most feared weapon, the DEATH STAR. On board the luxury cruiser Silvretta, citizens loyal to the Empire fear for their safety, while those sympathetic to the cause of the Rebellion celebrate the recent victory in secret. Then, without warning, explosions rock the vessel. Sirens sound as everyone scrambles for the nearest available escape pod. Twenty-five people, not fast enough or too far away to reach an escape pod, board Gran Selvas, the pleasure yacht of Duke Messina Sidonia, to escape the doomed luxury cruiser. The Duke’s yacht becomes their ESCAPE POD...
