11/6/92 writings: Eternal promises granted our want's desire
Dawn and I waited for payday. Def Leppard is to appear at
Hersheypark Arena. Over lunch hour, we drive to arena to
buy tickets, where we are told, "Sold out show."
For five days Dawn and I were depressed, thinkin' we would
not get to see Def Leppard. I placed another phone call
to the arena to check if any credit card seats were canceled
and there were two! Dawn races to the phone to place a
credit card order using her parent's Mastercard.
Two nonblondes go to Hersheypark to see the band of the century!
I was very much impressed by the lights and stage set up,
but nothing had prepared me for the ultimate!

Actually, it was only by luck we'd gotten tickets that were
canceled. A girl, named Kim from Jonestown, a friend of
Keith's, sat next to Dawn. I had liquor in my pocket for
that show since Dawn was the driver.
I walked to her car to get a drink and a smoke. I passed
a door of the arena, saw Rick A. warmin up on the drums.
After grabbin' Dawn, we stood outside the door with a crowd
already watchin' Rick practice. I asked the crowd standin'
around to wave their arms at Rick until he noticed us!
The lights were spectacular. Phil played acoustic on
"Heartbreak". A female was helped onto stage by her escort,
who walked up behind Joe and grabbed his ass! Kim, a girl
from our work, held up a Sheffield Wednesday soccer team scarf
until Sav walked over and let her put it on his neck!
