The War, as it is referred to, started in the year 132 AD(Age of Darkness). Some claim that it actually started back further, in the Age of Redemption, 3,980 AR.
The Demon god Traz had been building his army of followers and creatures for over 500 years. During the year 132 AD, the time was right. Some said it was because the planets aligned a certain way, while others said that is when Traz was at his strongest. (Only wizards, and sages who have studied this know the true answer, which becomes VERY complex. Dealing with something called The Multi-verse.) Traz lead his army from the castle Barlithiny, in the mountians deep in Northern Notirb. Coming down from the north, Traz's armies were unstoppable. He also had officials and leaders in key positions to aid him. As in Lord Agry, ruler of Western Notirb and King Kart of Northern Notirb, the Duke Larikof the house Strongarm and Scythic, master wizard and high priest of The Tirad. With powerful leaders as these, URSA was divided. Lord Agry cut Notirb in half which prevented any support from the King Harris of Southern Notirb. In the year of 138 AD, Sir Browen the Bold of Paladine came to URSA, as prophesied. Sir Browen the Bold lead his armies and met Lord Agry on the battlefields just east of Mirak Forest. The battle is called: The Battle of the Faith's...Lord Agry was an Anti-paladin of The Triad and Sir Browen was a paladin of Paladine. The two powerful men of faith fought. Sir Browen with his mighty Holy Blade 'Smiter of Evil' and Lord Agry with his Unholy Blade 'The Reaver'. Bards tell of stories that in the skies, Paladine and his two sons(Habakuk and Kiri-Jolith) could be seen battling The Triad, (Hel, Hiddukel, Hextor). The bloody fight ended with Sir Browen's blade through Lord Agry's chest. One of Sir Browen's generals, Sir Kain, was sworn in as the new ruler of Western Notirb. Today, he nears 70 years of age and is still King. In the year 142 AD, the Sir Talemorin Longbow arrives in URSA. (Most deny the fact an elf was knighted. The elves think it is funny.) Talamorin shows up with a few friends: IlL'ese're Hardramven...Que'llar Veldr'in...Dorium Bedrock...Mirage Silver...and Aralyn. The final battle was fought in 150AD, The Battle at Barlithiny. 4 days later Traz is slain. Who did it depends on who you ask. The dwarves say that Dorium CLIMBED onto a tall tree, tied a thick rope...no...thick STEEL rope to a large IRON grapel hook, spun it and caught Traz and pulled him down to earth. He jumped from that tree and smashed Traz's head with his mighty hammer. The humans say that Traz had Talamorin bound and about to deliver the death blow when Sir Browen rode in and impaled Traz on his mighty lance. He drove onward to get close enough to slay Traz with his Holy Sword, 'Smiter of Evil'. The elves say that Sir Browen was injured, badly, Dorium was stuck in a tree(thrown there). That Talemorin Longbow went toe-to-toe with the demon god and killed him. The TRUE story...well, only the gods and the DM know that. |
