The 5 most powerful houses of URSA.

Dnaleri is the second largest island in URSA; 14 days west of the mainland Notirb, and just north of the mystical island of Silvanost.

Dnaleri is ruled by 5 houses, arguably the 5 most powerful houses. (Only under the Wrymvenbane's of Notirb.) These houses are: Swiney, Strongarm, Falconhand, Caladon, Noirune. Now, Dnaleri is divided into 6 regions. Southern, Eastern, North-eastern, South-western, Western and the Northern. Below the 5 houses are discussed and the lands they rule. The 6th region, the northern region is a tundra wasteland. Not much life can grow here. Between the months of no light in the winter, or the many months of no night in the summer, only the strong and the smart can survive. The men who live here are tall men who roam the Northern region. These nomadic clans run around, surviving. Born strong and toughened by the land, these barbarians have never been conquered.

These different Houses of Dnaleri, have been modeled after different countries in the world today. Spainish, Scotland, England, France, and Ireland. These houses have similar looks, attitudes, and special products. I do this to give the human race, in URSA, a larger variety and to give the "Common Language" a stronger meaning.

C A L A D O N

The house of Caladon is a calm house. Well I should say, a house who doesn't go on the offensive a lot. It is said that Caladon's are happy with their whiskey and their land. Though no OFFICAL king, the Caladon's are ruled by William Caladon. His title is Clan Chief. The land of Caladon is actually a land full of different families and clans. Lamont, Wallace, Mcgreagor, Mcgwire(these famous clans aren't the only ones!) Caladon has just been the ruling house for over 1,000 years. Clan Chief William Caladon is married to Elizabeta Lamont-Caladon. They have 3 kids, Robert(24)...Mary(18)...and James(8). Caladon is in the North-eastern region. The land of Caladon is WORLD famous for its fine whiskey's. No cattle is here, lots of sheep(which lead to many jokes) and just enough grain for its people.

Mainly farmers and agriculturist, Caladon's have never got "The spur up the butt" to go off and fight. Though MANY battles have come to their soil....which for the record...Caladon still rules the same land. So if you haven't notice yet, Caladon is modeled after Scotland. The males even wear the kilts, showing their clans tartans with pride. Caladon's even speak with the Scottish accent and language.

F A L C O N H A N D

Displaying the blue banner with the black falcon outlined in silver, the Flaconhands are ruled by King George and Queen Maria. Ruling the southern portion of Dnaleri, the English accented Falconhands have rich mines of silver and iron and a good growth of grain. The Falconhands trade their goods throughout URSA. Before The Pact was made with the other houses in front of Sir Browen the Bold, Falconhands where allies with the House of Noirune and where enemies with the Strongarms and Swiney's. Now since The Pact was signed 50 years ago, the Houses where united...though old blood feudes can still be seen. The Falconhands are also known throughout URSA about their powerful land forces. The Falconhands have been know to raise some of the largest armies in history. In days of old, Falconhands sent its armies to the rest of URSA. To this day, names, foods, taste and buildings still show Falconhand design.

N O I R U N E

Noirune's speak Spanish and wear the conquistador helmets.

The dark hair and light eye'd land of Noirune has the best navy in URSA. It has been this way for hundred's of years. Though they have mighty landforces, history shows that Noriune's navy defeated the mighty Namor fleets AND armies, just before the war of the Brothers and the divide of the Wrymvenbane House. Namor was a country of old, destroyed and lost during the War of The Brothers. The red field with the gold fighting lion shows the temper of these people. Ruled by Emperor Cesar Noirune, they live to the south-western regions where the mountians give them MANY rich veins of gold, silver, iron and gems. Noirune is also known for their expert sword craftmanship.

S T R O N G A R M

Masters of fenece' and strategies, the French speaking Strongarms have and train some of the best swordsmen of all times in URSA. King Jean Strongarm and Valastra Bicard-Strongarm rule over the House hold. Specializing in military training, Strongarm boasts the first fighter school founded by Sir Browen the Bold. There largest export is the fine wines and wheat grown in the Eastern part of this land. Ruling the western part of Dnaelri, Strongarm has never laid a full offensive like the Falconhands and Noirunes, but they have done enough to earn the respect of the other houses. Stronharm's have enough mines and resources that others counties across URSA seek out Strongarm for help.

S W I N E Y

Another House which is known for fine whiskeys, ales and beers. The Swiney House also grows some of URSA's best potatoes. Seasoned travelers well pay a huge price for these potatoes. Speaking with a Gaelic accent, Swiney's do not wear kilts like the Caladon's. They wear simple tunics with tall boots. Many paint there face with die...each clan having their own die. The Clan Chief is Brain Swiney, he has two sons.
