This is a fairly straight forward episode to write about so it should not be as long as the others!
The episode begins with a sorceress in her little hut with two dolls, one of her and one of Robin. She presses the two dolls together and on the other side of Sherwood, Robin suddenly becomes entranced and runs off. He meets up with the sorceress, Lilleth, and has an instant attraction to her as a result of the spell.
Marian and the others are worried and confused as to why and where Robin has got to, and they go off in search parties looking for him. None of them find him. Later on, they come across Robin in the forest. He tries to run away but the rest of his men catch him and have to pin him down (not before he has planted one on Will's nose mind!). He doesn't seem to recognise any of his men, so they take him back to their camp and tie him up. Robin, however, manages to convince Much that he will die if he remains tied up, and Much frees him.
He goes back to Lilleth who tells him that she wants him to steal the silver arrow from Herne, which he does. Once she has the arrow, she takes it and Robin to Castle Belleme, where Robin killed the Baron in 'Robin Hood and the Sorcerer'. Robin helps Lilleth to remove the coffin lid and she uses the arrow that killed him to bring the Baron DeBelleme back to life.
At this point, the Sheriff has sent Gisburne and another man, Ralph to go and look for the Barons jewells which are hidden in a gargoyles eye, under a window. They find the treasure, but as Ralph is climbing back up the rope that he used to get to the window, Gisburne cuts it and Ralph falls to his death. Gisburne then decides that he is going to run away from the Sheriff and keep the jewells for himself. Whilst leaving, however, Gisburne comes face-to-face with the Baron, who is supposed to be dead. After giving the treasure back to what he believes is a ghost, he goes back to Nottingham, scared stiff!!!
The Sheriff obviously doesn't believe him and wants to go and have a look for himself, just top prove what an idiot Gisburne is!
Meanwhile Lilleth and Robin return back to her house where she celebrates her achievement. At this point, the rest of Robin's men burst in having discovered where she lives. They find the bound dolls and tear them apart, thus breaking the spell. Robin realises what he has done and, after making up with Marian and his men, decides to go back to the Castle to stop the Baron.
Next we see the Sheriff and Gisburne in the castle, with the sheriff treating it as a big joke and a chance to ridicule Gisburne. Robin and his men also arrive at the castle at the same time and make short work of the guards. While the Sheriff is interrogating Gisburne, the Baron appears behind him and scares him witless too! Whilst getting in to the castle, part of the roof falls down and separates Robin from the rest of his men. He goes outside where the Baron is standing up in a window watching him. He 'magically' fires the silver arrow at Robin, but Herne catches it just before it hits him and saves his life. The Baron just stays at the window and says nothing. Robin goes back inside and is reunited with his companions who have been trapped under various bits of roofing! The episode ends with the Baron standing at the window saying
'Did you really think you could overthrow me?'.
This is one of the episodes that I actually remember watching most vividly in the Eighties on a Saturday evening when I was about seven years old!
