PLAINS OF LAND HO!
THE TUCHUKS

The great white tarn Ice Queen is soaring higher and you watch as the ground diminishes under you. The HUGE tarn is caught in the beam of the lighthouse..and glows like polished Silver! She gathers speed, still climbing and reaching for the Sky. Looking back, the home of the Pirate and Lady diminishes into a miniature model of itself. The spray of the ocean breaks on the cliffs turning the lights from the house into colors of the rainbow and the quiet lagoon fall away rapidly as the rocky crags are silhouetted against the night sky.

You rise to meet where the mountains marry the sky on the silvery wings of One greater than the Eagle. The beloved mountain rises under you, her snow capped peaks invading the sky, touching it intimately, cupping the peaks like a lover's hand holding the breast of his lady.

Ice Queen levels off and takes her heading picking a distant peak as a land-mark. The rocky ground ribbons out behind. Below is seen a camp fire. It goes out quickly, as soon as the wings of the tarn are heard. A few seconds later all is dark on the plateau beneath. The faint light from the night skies light the ground enough to pick out a herd of sleeping bosks...and two wagons. The tarn flies lower..but still out of bow-shot. Such a large herd for only two wagons. The camp fires reappear as the Great Tarn is recognized. They have left kith and kin to herd these animals in The Land’s behalf and to Worship the Sky in a distant Place. They are well taken care of. And safe within the boundaries of the Pirate’s holdings and protection.

Soon two more families will join them. Kamchak, the Ubar-San of all the Wagon People and the Captain’s brother, will visit the Lighthouse as soon as his newest baby is delivered. He has 7 now....all girls. Perhaps the 8th will be an heir.

Quite out of Tradition, his girls are being trained to ride and fight as warriors. Kamchak thinks, as peace has come, the warriors need competition to keep them from growing complacent. The girls will give them that. His eldest is soon to take a companion and there will be a third wagon here. A chance to spread without war. In time, there will be a fourth and fifth tribe and they will be friends of the Land and the ones below. A valley with Wagon People will keep a close watch on over the Plains and are the defenses there.

A message was delivered in Port Kar to the Pirate from Kamchak wishing him TWIN girls yearly for the REST of his life..and he wished the Pirate a LONG life.

As You cross the Plains, you'll begin to see the peaks of the Cliffs of Land Ho!
