A WORD ABOUT THE COMIC ITSELF…What to Expect:Welcome to, hopfully, the of a long running and entertaining story line. First and foremost, I intend to stick to the Marvel TM. comic book story line to a tee. Whether argued on which is good, bad, questionable and so on; that is how it was written. The story will be left off as if nothing changed. The world may have changed, but that is how I feel that the left off agendas of each faction would progress into the years. The main theme in this story is realism. However, this realism entails such facts as the creation of Serpentor, the rebirth of Dr. Mindbender, the brainwave scanner and the brainwashed victims at the end of the comic. Once again, due to the story line. Since this comic will deal with realism in its full view, this will include such possible issues such as sex, vulgar language, racism, and real feelings brought out by the characters based on their birthplaces and file cards wit the potential characteristic. These issues were not really touched upon in the Marvel TM comic and are not necessarily my views either. They are how I feel certain characters would react in a given situation. Some parts of the world suck, but that's reality. I have a bad gene in me that irritates me if things aren't perfect, at least detailed, so I will try my hardest to include the little details of a figure or machine. Examples would be a patch on an arm, or a pin on a jacket as created in the original molding of these figures. Although I encourage an e-mail if I miss something, please don't swamp me with letters. Another aspect to be expected is proper dress attire. I don't mean suits and ties, I mean Snow Job's not going to be running around in the desert with his white arctic gear and Gung Ho isn't going to the arctic in just his vest. He's a tough mother f***er, but that's too much. I'm going to try and use rank a little bit more in this comic which might be interesting. Don't expect Snake Eyes talking any time soon, If he didn't have a lot to say back then, (except Scarlett's name) I don't think he has anything to say now, eh we'll see. Snake Eyes also won't be killing ten thousand people at once either, sorry. Even though sexual issues might come about, I refuse to draw the women or men nude or in severely pornographic scenes, I do have some integrity, somewhere. If you want to see that, you got mental problems anyway. E-mail me and I'll ask my friend for some good porn sights. We'll get ya off that "G.I. Joe porn" kick.
Finally I will try hard to develop many of the characters that the reader did not really get to see in action or see in action enough. I hope to bring many of the lesser used characters into the full picture and still have the classics come to life. New, and hopefully cool characters will be developed through out the comic please visit the sketches section for updates and biocards. If you have any suggestions for characters please submit; but do not be offended if they are rejected, like I said I'm very picky. This comic might start off a little slow to some, but please be patient and I'm sure it'll pay off.
What NOT to Expect:Well, on a sad note, the drawings aren't coming out that great. This project has brought on a much greater than before respect for the artists who take this up as a career. Unfortunately, I do have other things in my life and this comic has taken second place at times (two years time, very unfortunately), so in order to crank out an issue in reasonable time the drawings might look like I'm twelve. (I assure you I'm not.) |
