You choose the sea blue door and walk through. Inside, you see an orange and black ferilon talking to a green and gold one. They have a half-completed map laying unrolled on the table between them. Several pencils and colored pencils lay scattered around the table. As you walk up to the table, the orange ferilon throws down his pencil and says irritably, "Rynna, I was sure that ravine was here. Why doesn't the area on the map match the area I saw there?" The green and gold ferilon shrugs and replies, "Are you sure your marking the right place on the map? Are you sure you aren't combining two different areas in your mind?" The orange ferilon looked back down at the map and traced a few fingerspans down from a large river. He laughs and adds a jagged line to the map to mark the ravine.
"I was too far south," the ferilon says. He looks up at you as your foot scrapes against the floor. The green and gold one turns around to regard you as the orange one says, "Welcome to our home, traveler. My name's Riley and this is my mate Rynna. What's your name?" You tell the ferilons your name and look down at the map. You recognize some of the landmarks on it and point out a slight mistake in the path of a small river. Rynna looks sheepish as she erases the blue line and adds a new one in the right path.
"I'm glad you caught that," she tells you. "Do you recognize any other places on teh map." You nod and sit down to go over the map with Rynna. Meanwhile, Riley gets some glasses and fills them up with clear spring water. When he sets them on the table and reseats himself, Riley explains, "We are explorers and keep records and maps of everywhere we've been. Remanth enjoys learning about new places as well. She supplies us with travel gear and paper and pencils and we supply her with descriptions of new places and peoples." You catch another slight mistake in the length of a road. Riley grabs a charcoal- colored pencil and retraces the route. You tell the two ferilons a little about your own adventures so far and they tell you stories about faraway places they've visited.
Thinking a moment, you say that Remanth's home is quite large and easy to get lost in. The two ferilons wait expectantly, slight smiles playing about their lips. You tell them about the few times you have gotten lost and lost some time. Riley interrupts and says, "So it would be a great help if we could draw a map for you?" You nod, relieved, while the two ferilons smile. Rynna grabs a clean sheet of paper and says, "We'll be glad to. As long as you keep telling a few stories about places you've visited." Thankfully, you tell more stories about your home and the places nearby. Riley and Rynna listen and nod while they draw out the map.
Finally, Rynna holds up a finished map. It is very colorful, with all the places you've visited so far on it along with many others you haven't. You rub an experimental finger along on edge and grin widely when the color stays on. Riley smiles and says, "We use pencils that don't smudge. It wouldn't do to have a lake on a map where there isn't one in real life." You laugh with him and agree. Riley continues, "I'm sorry to cut your visit short, but it is about time for us to go on another trip." Rynna nods and adds, "You're welcome back any time. You can go through that door to get back to the common room. Farewell." You walk out the door , waving goodbye.
