CHEETOR  After returning to Cybertron from prehistoric Earth after the Beast Wars, Cheetor soon found himself being hunted down by Vehicons. To make things worst, he was then infected with the virus that had allowed Megatron to conquer Cybertron. Cheetor, Rattrap, Blackarachnia and Optimus Primal were saved by the Oracle who reformatted them with techno-organic bodies. Cheetor was the second Maximal to master the art of techno-organic transformation. Abilities: Many people compared Cheetor in the Beast Wars with the young and impulsive Autobot, Hot Rod. If so, then one could compare his Beast Machines incarnation with Rodimus Prime -- a more matured and savvy version of his former self. Whereas Rodimus' maturity stemmed from the Matrix, Cheetor's new maturity comes from his hard training and self-acquired discipline, which allowed him to master the transformation art so well. He exhibits good leadership qualities. Cheetor has incredible ground speed in either mode and can leap great distances in beast mode. His ultra fast speed is also augmented by his ultra fast reflexes. In robot mode, he wields two blades which he can use to quickly repel enemy salvos or hurl at enemy targets, cutting them down. They can also be used for limited gliding. His beast mode also hides him from Vehicon sensors. Weaknesses: He sometimes becomes overconfident in his leadership skills and will not hesistate to argue with Optimus Primal over leadership decisions. Due to the complexity of the techno-organic transformation, Cheetor will revert back to beast mode if his concentration is broken. |
