We flew in a night early so we could save money on the air flight
So we stayed one night at the Torrequebrada Hotel in Benalmedena. This was a
very NICE hotel. This is 5 pictures of the lobby area stitched together to give
you a better idea of the entrance area.
When you travel to another country you expect to have to figure out a few things. We were not expecting that the first thing we would have to figure out was turning on the lights in the room. We got to the room and the TV was on but nothing else seemed to work... We stood there in the dark for a minute until we figured out that you have to put your room key in the slot next to the door. |

Our room had all the comforts of a high quality hotel. I even like the main switch cutoff by the bed that would turn out all the lights in one shot. The only surprise in the bathroom was the "pull" theory of flushing. There was a hair dryer that eventually even dried my hair. |
The hotel was equipped with a casino that didn't allow pictures. After we got unpacked we went down and tried our luck...We both were REALLY lucky there. Saturday morning we went down for the buffet at the hotel. The restaurant was great! The food in spain was excellent. The view would have been better if it hadn't been raining. |

After breakfast I went for a walk and took some pictures around the hotel. This one was taken when I was locked out in the back area. The view is through one of the wicker umbrellas that they had there (for when the sun was shinning). |
I fell in love with the flowers there. I'm going to attempt to grow one myself... I have to study a bit before then... | ![]() |
The hotel was only for one day. Saturday afternoon it was off to the Sahara Sunset. It was also very pretty.
Thanks to the step aerobic workout to get to our room (73 steps in all, some up and some down) we didn't gain any weight over there and we did eat quite a bit!
