THE LAND OF THE FIVE KINGDOMS



SPECTRE & SPAHIRE MIMICK: The next thing Spectre saw after the bright white light was clear blue water rushing up towards him. Before he could react he hit the water with a splash. Floating above the water he activated his team signal device and quickly found Saphire Mimick who had landed not too far from his position (albeit on land). In the distance they could see a city and as they approached they realized from the stares they were getting that their costumes had been torn to shreds.

More critically though they appeared to have been transported to some medieval city they'd never heard of: The Port City of Promise, in the Kingdom of Minos, greatest kingdom within the Land of the Five Kingdoms!

After coping with the initial shock, they both proceeded into town to find some new clothes. Spectre sold his boots for what seemed to be a heafty quantity of the common currency, gold coins, and they both proceeded to purchase local clothing as well as food and other travelling items.

Next the pair went to find the local stables to see if they could purchase a couple of horses. After besting the huge human known as "Bubba", they were both offered jobs as caravan guards to protect the goods imported for the King himself. The trip was uneventful except for one night when Spectre saw what was later revealed to be a Darkling, a black, clawed, winged, vicious monster, huge and deformed in proportion but still vaguey humanoid.

Eventually the caravan reached the Kingdom and the King was so impressed with Spectre's immense strngth that he immediately offered them positions on the City Council as his bodyguards and advisors. Here they learned of the tyranny of the Darkling Lord in the North and of his evil minions, the Darklings (as well as the Troll Legions, Frost Giant Army, and Goblin Horde).

Spectre and Saphire immediately began to lobby the King to assemble an army to confront the Darkling Lord's forces in the North and to set the Kingdom's greatest minds to the task of locating the Darkling Lord's Keep within the Dark Wood to the North.

It was three years before the Kingdom of Minos was able to convince the other Lands that an Army had to be raised against the Darkling Lord. But, after all that time, thousands of soldiers were pledged from nearly every Kingdom to the cause. Heroes from all over the Land presented themselves to King Minos and his Court. Sir Adrian, Destroyer of the Goblin Horde from the the Province of Arlington; Silver Ghost, Chief of Police Forces within the Kingdom of Shelf; Weaver, ally and friend of the Druids from the Mysterious Wood; Sir Shadow Dragon, Chosen One of the Elven Kingdom; and Jack Frost, Champion of the Dwarven people of the North. Minos itself chose it's three most capable council members to travel on this dangerous journey: General Ambrose, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces of the Five ingdoms; Sir Spectra, senior councilman posessing of great strength; and Lady Saphire, senior councilwoman, also possessing great strength.

SYNAPSE: It is currently unknown what has happened to Synapse. He may still be lost somewhere among the vast expanse of the Five Kingdoms, he may not have left Earth at all, or he even may have been killed in OMEGA's blast. No one knows for certain - at least for now...

LATE SPRING in the Land of the Five Kingdoms: The Army of Minos was assembled and the travel plan was mapped out: They would travel North to the Kingdom of Fenn to unite with the Human, Elven, and Dwarvish armies. They would then travel west into the Kingdom of Shelf and the Province of Arlington to unite with more Humans and the Gnomish army. Finally they would continue North into the Lost Kingdom to confront the armies of the Darkling Lord!
