The "NEW" CRUSADERS V&V CAMPAIGN
This campaign focuses on a group of heroes based in Vancouver, British Columbia going by the name of "The CRUSADERS"! The Original CRUSADERS was a super-group formed by the mysterious Manta-Man...15 years ago that team was disbanded after a viscious, deadly attack by the malevolent CRUSHERS, a team of villains bent on destroying the CRUSADERS once and for all! Out of the Ashes of that first incarnation came a second, successful team, financially suported by philanthropist and industrialist Carter Manning, who protected the GVRD for many years before disbanding again to be reborn as the government sponsored team: ALPHA FLIGHT.Using the resources provided by Department H, Alpha continued to protect Canada and the world from crime, Aliens, and supernatural Threats until the Day of the BIG CRUNCH. Alpha was transported to another dimension and while they were stranded in this medieval alternate reality for over 2 years, a scant 2 days passed in our own time. ALPHA FLIGHT eventually found their way back to our world, but the BIG CRUNCH had taken its emotional and physical toll on the team. Alpha disbanded for good in 1998, most of its heroes retiring to start families, a few others working as lone protectors of the city in the shadows of the night...
Before long another team calling themselves the CRUSADERS rose to prominance, again supported financially by Carter Manning. These new heroes protected the city for over 5 years until one day in May 2005 when they seemed to suddenly disappear....no one has heard from the CRUSADERS in almost 2 weeks now, despite the desperate need for these heroes! We the public know that there are still heroes living in our city, hiding behind their secret identities...over the last two weeks at least 3 seperate heroes have been seen covering their faces with simple hoods or a jacked pulled high over their head as they responded to bank robberies, housefires, and even an attack by the evil super-villain CAPTAIN DASH!
Our city needs its defenders badly - but who will step up to the plate to protect our city?
