SUICIDE SQUAD

The SUICIDE SQUAD, also known as "TASK FORCE X" is a US government sponsored team of super-beings, generally on death row or in prison for very long terms. A deal was met that would allow these "villains" to work for the government on a number of extremely dangerous (read: suicidal) assignemnts, and, upon completion, they would be freed and their record expunged. Very few villains survive to see freedom (and the program has a nasty habit of sending "uncooperative candidates" back to prison despite service to the 'Squad. It should be noted that COLONEL FLAG, BRONZE TIGER, and VIXEN are not villains and are in the team primarily lead them on missions and to keep the other members in line.
