Excellent site. Very well done. I have no problem with dark elements in the craft. Nature itself (supposedly our prime teacher) is full of elements that could be considered both dark and light. For me these categories, like the God and Goddess, are creations of humans as we work to give meaning to the world around us. The place of the witch is to be an artist, shaping their life like a work of art, blending elements and tools and ideas to create something new and unique. I believe the witch's power comes not from outside, but from within. The "God and Goddess" are our creations. There is a spiritual reality, a divine reality, but it isn't seperate from the universe around us. That divine reality is beyond our ability to e compass and conceive of, our minds are limited. So we must create these images, these "masks" so we can relate to at least part of this reality.

as a student of "neo-paganism"(for lack of a better term) and / or "novice druid"(see above parenthesis), i'd like to mention that this is probably the BEST pagan site i've encountered on the web thusfar. the poetry was exquisite & your thoughts on modern paganism are everything i've wanted to express, but lacked the skill for expression of.(SEE) i also love the site's dark feel without being too "gothy"(goth in the modern ,dance-dork sense being in my opinion a flagrant misnomer. not that there's anything wrong with dancing; i like it my-own-self; but why do these "goths" always do the same three as every other "goth" when dancing is one of the highest forms of self-expression!) anyway,Ravenbard, thanks for brightening (or darkening as the case may be) my ight. and feel free to e-mail me whenever the mead 'o' poetry imbibes. -gods bless - ceann ap haugh
