» The 1999 Clansite :: C o m m u n i t y :: Clan Tournament

Some of you probably remember that a couple years back, 1999 celebrated its one-year anniversary by holding the grand "Second-Ever 1999 Clan Tournament" (the first one was held in late 1999, and was a total bust). We had thought this would be an excellent way to celebrate our current prosperity as a clan, and a nice way to boost spirits of the 1999s who chose to participate, and after a couple months of planning and "rallying," we were all ready to go. Unfortunately, quite like the first 1999 tourney, it just didn't work out. Four matches were played as official tournament games, before the tourney was put on indefinite hold.     Well, the clan has long since fallen apart, and some emotional barriers have formed between certain ex-1999s, so there's not even a slight chance that this tournament will ever come close to completion. Well, just to fill out this page a bit, I went ahead and put together a cheap little flash presentation showing the tournament brackets, and I predicted the winners match-by-match. The only games that were actually played were Apt vs. JaRule, Laterz vs. Lasty, Scythe vs. Wolf, and Blitz vs. Viper. The winners of those are shown in red, while the winners of my "predicted" matches are shown in blue. So, an imaginary congratulations goes out to LuNaTiC_1999 (KraZiE) for progressing through all five rounds to win the whole thing (take that Stinger, teach you to beat me).     Also, there was originally a loser's bracket as well, but I was feeling lazy so I turned it into a single-elimination tourney instead of a double. I do sincerely apoligize, it simply could not be helped. Happy reminiscing.
