Hi, and welcome to my web page! I am assuming, because you are reading this, that you wish to learn a little more about me. So, here goes nothing. =)
I am seventeen years old and I live in Mesa, AZ. My family is a fairly large one which consists of my mom and dad, two older sisters (Tiffany and Emily), two younger brothers (Christopher and Joseph), and our dog (Keiko; pronounced Kee Koh). Tiffany is the eldest, and has married and moved away from home. So I guess I should mention my brother-in-law, Scott. He's a great guy. He's also a Deputy Sheriff for Maricopa County, and it's very interesting to listen to his many exploits with the "bad guys". Heh, come to think of it, my whole family is great! =). I attend MCC, which I started doing at sixteen. Some might ask how it is that I started college at a relatively young age. It's really quite simple: I was home-taught through high-school, and I was able to get my high school diploma in half the time it takes others to get it. MCC is a pretty good school, though. I have fun there, and am taking a very full load there this semester (16 hrs.: Chemistry, Biology, Trig, a Music class, and a religious class.).
I have a fairly lively sense of imagination, and have written several stories. Actually, one short story, and two novels. I am currently working on a third novel. If you consider yourself daring, you can attempt to read them. =).
I love music and play the piano. By the way, if you are currently bored with reading this, you can return to home now if you want to. =) As I was saying, I love music, and I am generally not too selective in what I listen to, although I do have a few dislikes. I do not like rap at all, and I don't care for heavy metal. I do like some alternative, as long as it meets three criteria:
I work at a cushy job at MCC. It is in the Psychology Instructional Resource Center (otherwise known as the PIRC). It gives me plenty of extra time, which is why I am writing this. I have nothing better to do. =) Ok, ok, so I do have some duties there. I give people orientations, and help them with their computer problems. I also work on various "projects" for my supervisor, one of which is/was to help expand the PIRC's web page, which is how I learned HTML.
I love to play chess. It is the most awesome game in the world! I think that I like it so much because it is one of the few games in which nothing is left to chance. =) It is also one of those games that, even in losing, you can learn something about the game, and improve your skill. I occasionally play the computer (and usually get beat =), but my chess program is old and archaic. If anyone has suggestions as to an excellent chess program, please mail me. I do like some other games, too, such as four player chess. =) Seriously, though, when I have the time, I enjoy playing most games. I think that my all time favorite board game is parchesi. That is a cool game. =) I also enjoy mudding, and for those of you that do not know what that is, it stands for multi user dimension/dungeon/etc. It is essentially a computer based role-playing game, and something which I spend entirely too much time on. =)
As previously mentioned, I play the piano. I love doing it! If you ever have the chance to learn how to play, take it! =) I am fairly adept on the piano, but, hey, there's always room for improvement, right? =) Someday, maybe I'll have a recording on here so that you can hear all my mistakes. =) But that will have to wait for now.
I will warn you right now, the next little bit discusses my religion, so if you don't want to read it, you can return to home right now. Well, you can't say that I didn't give you fair warning! =) I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is truly an extraordinary church, and I have a strong testimony as to its validity as the only completely true church on the earth. Others may have much of the truth, but this is the only church that is 100% true. Curious as to why I feel this way and how I can say this? Well, part of it is simply logic (the fact that this is the only church on the earth that is set up exactly the way that Christ originally set up the church is one example of "logic"), and part of it is the witness I've had from the Holy Ghost, giving me strong assurance as to the validity of my religion. I plan on serving a mission when I am old enough so that I can spread the wonderful things that the Gospel has to offer. I'm sure that some people that read this may be offended at my seeming arrogance; please don't be. I do respect your religion . . . although I would encourage you to check out mine . . . even if it's just so that you can be sure that you really don't won't to belong to it. =)
Anyway, I suppose that is enough about me . . . for now. =) If you have any questions or comments about the contents, format, or anything else in this page, please feel free to mail me. (I figure that if I mention it enough times, somebody actually will. =)
