2x01: Little Green Men - This was a great season premiere, and the whole Samantha/Alien concept was pretty interesting. The X-Files are shut down (the first of many times), and Mulder secretly travels to an "alien contact site" in Puerto Rico, while Scully covers his tracks.
2x02: The Host - Now this is classic X-Files! Most likely the most famous and well-known MOTW makes an appearance – Flukie! Absolutely revolting, but hey! That's what The X-Files is all about, right?
2x03: Blood Interesting plot...although it seems sorta familiar. It was okay. Probably one of the more boring episodes, IMHO.
2x04: Sleepless I was younger when I saw this one, and I hated it. When I bought the Sleepless/Duane Barry video, I still didn't like it. The only good thing that came out of it was Alex Krycek, I think.
2x05: Duane Barry (part 1 of 2) - This is the beginning to my favorite Myth-arc – Scully's Abduction. It was a great way to conceal GA's pregnancy. Sometimes I wonder what the show would be like if she never was pregnant…probably horrible, because this is where the whole conspiracy really begins. Excellent! (and the same goes to Ascension and One Breath!)
2x06: Ascension (part 2 of 2) - See above. Mulder desperately searches for his missing partner after he is asked to step back from the investigation (yeah right). The MulderAngst was beautifully played out by David Duchovny – perhaps his best work ever.
2x07: 3 - I hate this one. It was boring and a bit depressing to watch. There was one moving part where Mulder is filing away Scully's X-File, her badge, glasses, and cross necklace, though. And he only slept with Kristen Kilar because he was lonely – it was lust, not love. (and my name is Kirsten, not Kristen. :P)
2x08: One Breath - (see Duane Barry.) This is one of my all-time favorites. Mulder frantically fights for Scully's life while she's in a coma, and even her family has given up on her. One of the most touching scenes ever came from this one – "I don't know if my being here will help…bring you back…but I'm here. Bravo David. Absolutely Brilliant.
2x09: Firewalker - Totally melted Ice. There was some good Mulder/Scully interaction, though. Scully comes back to work right after her abduction/coma episode, and Mulder is worried about her.
2x10: Red Museum - This was a confusing one alright, but I still enjoyed it. Also, did anyone else catch that "walk-ins" thing? "They're believers in soul transference, enlightened spirits who have taken possession of other peoples bodies".
Just like in SUZ/Closure. At first, I thought this was just a stand-alone, but if you pay attention, you'll realize it's part of the mythology. And you gotta love that infamous Clay's BBQ scene! ;-)
2x11: Excelsius Dei - This one was kinda…disturbing. Interesting, but disturbing. Nursing homes give me the creeps now. But I loved that bathroom-filling-up-with-water scene! I liked seeing M/S wet, I dunno why (yes, I am a sick one ^_^).
2x12: Aubrey - This one didn't hold my interest too much, I dunno why. Some people like it, some people don't. Whatever floats your boat.
2x13: Irresistible - Ah, Irresistible! Oh yes I very much enjoyed this one. It's the first (and not the last) appearance of Donnie Pfaster – the death fetish who collects (preferably red) hair and fingernails. His last victim is of course our favorite red-headed Special Agent. Great performance by Gillian Anderson, and yet again another Scully-in-distress episode. Nick C. did a wonderfully creepy job with Pfaster. Mulder searches for his missing partner yet again, so soon after he lost her the first time. He angrily retorts to Bocks – "People videotape police beatings on dark streets. They see Elvis in three cities across America every day. But no one saw a pretty woman being run off the road in her rental car." ;-) And lets not forget that beautiful last scene!
2x14: Die Hand Die Verletzt - Just goes to show you that your teacher may really be a Satanist just like you think. Very scary! I liked this one, it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the woman who portrayed Paddock; she was very believable. And Mulder and Scully get wet - together – in a shower! But with their clothes on. ;) I still loved that scene, though!
2x15: Fresh Bones - Eh, it was ok. I liked the Voodoo!Scully, though. That was pretty cool. Refreshingly scary!
2x16: Colony (part 1 of 2) - I liked the Colony/End Game two-parter. It was nice the way Scully put herself on the line for Mulder. She knew it was a touchy subject (Samantha) for Mulder, and she was there for him. It looks like fun to be the Alien Bounty Hunter – you can get away with anything! ;)
2x17: End Game (part 2 of 2) – See above.
2x18: Fearful Symmetry - I didn't care for this episode too much, although the scenes with The Lone Gunmen were refreshing. :)
2x19: Dod Kalm - Not a lot of people liked this one, but I did. I dunno, I just thought it was cute how Mulder and Scully cared for each other – Scully searching through the whole ship for liquids and Mulder telling her do drink the sardine juice, half
a dozen lemons and water from a snow globe concoction (yum!) saying, "You're a woman. Your life expectancy is greater, and your body retains more water in fatty tissues." "Don't do this Mulder…" "Don't be so stubborn, Scully. You know I'm right." But Scully never gave up on him. It was cute!
2x20: Humbug - Ahh I loved this one! An instant classic! It was very amusing, and the story was great. The whole thing was entertaining, to say the least!
2x21: The Calusari - This one was dark. Very dark indeed. It was a good episode, but very creepy…I'm reminded of the Exorcist. Except the Exorcist was way more scary and kept me up months after I've seen it. This was just a reminder.
2x22: F. Emasculata - Eeeeew! This is probably the most revolting episode, even more so than The Host! Gross. And I was eating my dinner when this came on…ugh.
2x23: Soft Light - This was an interesting one…I liked it. An experiment in dark matter turns a scientist's shadow into a form of instant death. The plot was intriguing. Very well written!
2x24: Our Town - I enjoyed this one! Cannabalism is a very gross thing. Ick. It was kinda another Scully-in-distress episode…although I'm a sucker for those. ;)
2x25: Anasazi - A good season finale, and the first of many "Mulder Is Dead" type of episodes. Some great Mulder/Scully interaction going on here again, and of course this is where Scully shoots Mulder so he dosen't kill Krycek for murdering his father. Intresting. :)
