The Brink quotes
The Brink begins the second chapter of the Kindred of the fictional city of Washington, Illinois, which began last year with Shades of the Past. Much has changed since the Sabbat's attempt at taking the city. Now the two powers battle for control on the battle fields as well as the office buildings. Who, in the end, will succeed? Will it be the Camarilla, who have controlled Washington since its founding, or will it be the machinations of the Sabbat that finally brings them to their knees? Players create characters from one or the other side in this epic battle for the control Washington. Only time, and the actions of the player characters will determine this city's future.
Just before we begin, there are a few rules that we ask all of you abide by.
- Please, please, please, please PLEASE, no drinking and no drugs during the game. I don't care if your character has an addiction to crack or not, do it on your own time. Being drunk and/or stoned does not inspire you to be a good role-player anyway.
- No weapons, and no toys that look like weapons. I
am little flexible about this rule, however. Cardboard blades are all right, but plastic stage daggers are not.
- No touching, and no stunts. We bend this rule to a point. I don't really care what you do, just don't get into a fist
fight. Obviously, touching is NOT all right in a combat scenario. Otherwise, if you think that you can do a back flip, and don't want to risk a Dexterity Trait, and possibly your Acrobatics Ability too, then by all means, do one yourself,
just don't fall and break your neck. Just remember, touching is OK only if you yourself are all right with it, and absolutely POSITIVE that the second party is all right with it.
- Have fun. Play hard. Don't make it any less fun for
the other players. Don't cheat. This isn't about winning, it's about the story. Remember, if another player snuffs your character, don't take it personally. He was playing a game, and so were you. A certain amount of animosity builds from
character to character interaction. Leave it at the game.
