Dana Scully, FBI


Special Agent Dana Scully

Dana Scully is also a very engaging character in this television series. Played by Gillian Anderson, Scully is assigned to keep track of (and to keep in line) her partner, FOX MULDER , and to provide her scientific background and opinions on the cases that they investigate together. When Mulder has a "far out" opinion on the causes of a case, Scully will usually locate a more logical, scientific explanation for what (as she believes) really happened. When needed, Scully performs autopsies, and other required scientific studies, tasks, and tests on a vast variety of biological life forms. Her scientific background enables her to help logically diagnose what happened to almost any victim investigated. The FBI has assigned her to utilize this scientific background medicine to aid her partner in investigating the many strange, paranormal, and outright weird cases that they follow; the X-Files.
