Rulings on Wu Tan and other House Rules

This section contains all the rulings, clarifications and adaptations made regarding systems for Hsien characters. Between the spotty editing of the sourcebook and the differences between Tabletop and Online play, a number of these rulings have proven necessary. Players should at least be familiar with the contents of this page, so they know where to check if a related issue comes up in-chat.

These rulings are not set in stone; I'm always happy to listen to suggestions on how to make them smoother.

Sample I Chih
This is a listing of favored I Chih; they have been fashioned using the rules in the book and the further rulings here.
Raising and Lowering Attributes
Includes both clarification of existing rules, and further comments.
Mixing Elemental Effects
Clarifications on the rules for building I Chih using multiple Wu Tan.
Running and Hanging Effects
Limits on having effects that last beyond a scene, or are assumed to be "always running".
Powers
Includes rulings on Shentao, Pakua and various Forms.
Cross-over rulings
This is a general hodge-podge of how Hsien powers interact with other WoD characters.
