As you travel through the fog-clad streets of Little Asia, you turn a corner and are amazed at the beauty of the scene before you. Not one, or two, but several shrines and temples line the street here, each one a thing of beauty and tradition. A small plaque informs you that this open plaza is Ten Do: "The Way of Heaven", and tells you of the street's history. Most of Little Asia's mortal residents visit at least one of the Shrines here on a regular basis; many visit more than one, and a few "make the rounds". On any given day, at least one of the shrines is holding a festival or ceremony of some kind, and the devout, the faithful and the curious all pack the narrow cobblestone plaza, singing, chanting, buying and selling charms, and above all, praying. For the residents of Little Asia know that this place is different from the temples and churches of the rest of Necropolis; here, prayers are not only heard, they are answered. For though the mortals do not know it, the Hsien walk here among them. Walk along Ten Do. Return to Little Asia |
