The drawn figure has always been a popular features in our culture, whether it be as an editorial cartoon in a newspaper, a comic book or strip, or one of the countless cartoons that can be seen on television. Few, if any, of us were not influenced by these mediums with their fantastic stories and characters in our youth; hence, it should not come as a great surprise that the impact on some people was enough to move them to apply pen to paper...or finger to key, as it were.
