The Midnite Diaries

This is a story a friend started and three of us are now writing are own version of the events. One is written from Richard De La Costa's point of view, one is written from Jessica Batrese's, which is mine, and another to be finished from Davidson Greggory, our maker's point of view. The characters start as young eager vampires, full of lust and mischief. They share a strong bond in the beginning. The co-habitat as a group of vampires at first as they build their little coven. Most of the characters are known from the first book which is not my version unfortunately, so I have filled you in on who each of them are. In the beginning, Davidson Greggory makes kindred blood twins of Richard De La Costa and Brian De Copple. From there his little family grows to include, the vampiress Jessica Batrese. Then shortly thereafter, Brian takes a kindred, Gwyneth Bourgue. Jessica Batrese made one kindred, Jason Roderick. His history is spread throughout these pages. Tifani & Lil' Tabbs are introduced as well. I hope you enjoy what I have chosen to share. *S*

In the beginning, I did not recognize the power Davidson possessed. Eternal years would bring the experience and knowledge Davidson possessed. He often said I had the potential to become a dangerous and deceitful creature.

The first memories I have when I looked through my new eyes... was the cold mausoleum floor beneath my tiny feet, as I walked, unknowingly to meet Davidson in the cemetary.

That dark night in New York City, he rescued me from my own life. At the edge of death he came to me like an angel. I had decided I could not bare my life any longer. I drew a bath of steaming hot water, and took the razor blade from my dead husband's razor. I had nothing to live for after losing my husband & our unborn child. Death seemed a welcomed relief. He slipped in at precisely the moment & bestowed to me his dark choice. Delirious from death, I obligued unknowingly to his dark gift. So you must understand my confusion when I arose that night. But through time I grew fond of him. I looked up to him and trusted him more than anyone ever. He would never betray me, that I felt deep within my body. Maybe because I had his blood in my veins, or maybe because I thought he was the most intelligent man I had ever encountered.

I received my new life, eventually, I felt as a gift from Davidson. Brian did as well, but Richard however did not...he felt it was punishment. He would mistreat and torture himself because that is what he deserved, he felt for being an abomination of evil. Much of Richard's life was spent in guilt and remorse. Extremely different than mine, I must say.
In the beginning I was sexy, cunning, obnoxious and somewhat repulsive, but not for a vampire of course. I used what I was to offend others. I thought that because of what I was, everyone had to put up with my actions...a disrespectful little vamp, I was...{at first anyway} But in my beginning I lived for the quantity of live, not the quality of it. In my elder years I would learn the difference.

As our coven grew, I willingly accepted new kindred. Until I felt I was being betrayed. When distrust, lies, deceit, all crept into our coven, it began to fall apart. Because of my passionate respect for Davidson, I felt closest to him always. The others one by one slowly slipped away from me.

This tale continues throughout the break up of the coven to the mysterious turn Jessica Batrese's character takes. She begins a dark descent, testing the boundaries of her own realm.

This tale transcends time, I make no references because I don't have the space to ramble on about it.

A Word from Ravinn

What has taken place with these individuals is they began as a close-nit group, loving, caring, protective of one another. But the many years together, tore them apart with lies & distrust. A lack of a lot of things, was to blame for their demise. But interesting nonetheless. I hope you enjoy my tales, its all fiction of course. I just had not seen anything written quite this way and thought the world was owed this point of view. ~S~ Enjoy yourself. I try to tell the story as if the Countess were reading the diaries herself, or as though you had stumbled upon them while exploring.
