Helen (13), Jason (13), and Hector Berc (13) are triplets. Jason and Hector are identical, and Helen is fraternal. Unfortunately, their parents are Sue R. Berc (Bender) and David H. Ray (King of Spades). They had a very hard life growing up; their parents were extremely paranoid, so the family was fairly isolated. Their parents taught them, in conjunction with V-teachers. While they enjoyed the time with their parents, the authoritarian style left them always seeking their approval. Hence they are always trying to excel and please their parents.

All three of them were on their way to an average mentally shaky existence when the plague hit. It hit them all at the same time, and they were sick for almost a week. They each spent half the time in a fever tainted delirium, and babbled uncontrollably. The horror of what their children were going through pushed both adults over the edge. When they recovered, they took it as a sign of God's favor. Helen had become a Shaman; Jason, a Scanner; and Hector, an Alchemist. They experimented with their newfound powers for a few days. Soon an idea exploded into their parents’ minds. Helen could heal the sick, Hector could turn water into wine, Jason could see the human soul, and all three had come back from the brink of death. Obviously, they must be the new saviors. Soon the triplets began to believe it as well, and by now it has become a fundamental aspect of their mind set.

Hector is bulky and has thick black hair and deep blue eyes. When he grows old enough, he plans to grow a beard to affect a more 'holy' image. He wears a white robe at all times to further enhance the savior image. He enjoys his Alchemist powers and enjoys seeing how much he can really do. Because of his abilities, his followers call him ' The Touched'. More than anything else, he wants his mother's approval and will ask her for advice before anyone else. When violence erupts, he tends to hang back and let others do the dirty work, but will attack when there is a minimum of risk.

Jason is, of course, identical to Hector in his physical makeup, but his Scanner abilities have changed his perceptions. He still strives to win the approval of his mother, but has become very philosophical about the entire situation. Seeing the images within people's minds has given him much to think about as well as the name 'The Seer'. He wears a green robe to emphasize his contemplative nature and has considered shaving his head for a wise appearance. When meeting anyone he studies their mind as best he can and defines them as good or evil when he feels he knows them well enough. This judgement (which usually takes a week) is based on his mother's worldview, but his word has tremendous power. If called upon to act, he acts decisively without any internal quibbling.

Helen is a small, quick girl with long brown hair and fiery green eyes. As the Shaman, she has earned the name 'The Healer'. Unlike her brother, she does not appreciate her gifts as much, although she does enjoy the power over life and death it gives her. When healing people, she is often heard speaking under her breath. Most believe she is praying, but she is usually murmuring about the weakness of those before her. If a firefight would erupt, she would head straight into the fray, just like dad. She has always dealt better with her father than her mother and would prefer to spend all her time around him than the adoring masses. But in the end, she wants to make him happy, so she deals with the people. She does believe she is a god, just not necessarily a nice one.
